It all began in the summer of 2004. A few people were hanging out yakkin', like we are all apt to do, when they realized they shared a passion for older bikes. In particular pre-Evolution motor Harley Davidsons, but most any brand could qualify. Eventually someone suggested that they should put together a ride for the old bikes. Great idea, everybody agreed, and soon the event had a name "Cast Iron Ride". Each year there have been more participants. Come join in the fun, as well as the company of kindred spirits. Mark your calendars for this year's run! When: Sunday, September 14, 2008 Start: 10 AM at the Vintage Spoke Museum (Rockford) Finish: TBD No Fee - This is a "go at your own pace" ride, We supply the maps and suggested routes.
